Like I said in my last journal entry from last night, our gut told us that everything was just not OK. Our favorite nurse, who hasn't been in for a few days, noticed right away when she came in today that his color had changed from over the weekend. When they did his blood gases this morning they saw serious deterioration in his ph levels.
They have stopped feeding him again and removed his feeding tube. They are in the process of drawing blood for a new series of tests to try to determine what is causing this to happen.
They have prepared us for the fact that if they can't determine from the new labs today what is happening they will have to move him to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. It has been very hard so far to even have him a few minutes from home and I can't begin to imagine how we will handle having him so far away.
